Nurturing the skills and well-being children need to thrive
Three dimensions, promoted in close coordination with one another.
JAHE shares Japan’s knowledge and practices in education, human resource development, ICT, physical education, school meals, food and nutrition education, and the development of non-cognitive skills with the world. Our goal is to support education that nurtures children’s knowledge, character, physical well-being, and health and nutrition in ways that are adapted to the needs and contexts of each country and community.
At JAHE, we take a holistic approach to education by integrating the following three dimensions and promoting them in close coordination with one another.
An integrated whole
These three dimensions are closely interconnected.
By advancing them as an integrated whole, JAHE seeks to enhance the quality of education and create learning environments that support the whole child. This integrated approach is a defining feature of the education JAHE aims to promote.
Learning & Human Development
Foundational skills and lifelong learning
In addition to establishing strong foundational academic skills, we foster independent learning habits and social-emotional skills (non-cognitive skills), supporting lifelong learning and holistic human development.
Creative & Physical Development
Music, the arts, sport
Through music, the arts, sports, and other activities, we nurture creativity, sensitivity, and physical development, helping children discover and expand their potential.
Food & Nutrition Education as an Education System
School meals as part of education
We position school meals and food and nutrition education as an integral part of education. In addition to supporting children’s nutrition, health, and learning, we foster stronger connections between schools and their local communities.
Working in education, in Japan or beyond?
JAHE works with overseas governments and ministries of education, international organisations, educational institutions and companies — and with Japanese organisations seeking international partners.
